Kep Province : Kep National Park
The 9,000-hectare park is the only park in the provincial capital, with a beautiful view of the sandy beach and mangrove forest. It serves as an important natural habitat for wildlife such as the rich birdlife, biodiversity and scenic beauty, and was declared a national park by a royal decree signed by King Norodom Sihanouk in 1993. There are not many visitors, especially local tourists who know and enjoy the mountains of Kep National Park. On the roads around the mountains, we can ride bicycles or motorbikes. There is a hiking trail from one peak to another, a distance of 8 kilometers, on a mountain that is only 140 meters high at the top. From there, tourists can admire the sea, the Bokor mountain range in the south, as well as Koh Tral. The map will show the points of interest in Kampot Province, Srei Tal Waterfall, the peak, the Angkor beach, the small pond, the meditation center, the sunset viewing area, and the stone horses, etc. The national park is a popular leisure spot for those who like to climb mountains, walk, and watch the sunset. So far, Kep National Park has prepared a new concrete road that makes it clean and easy to travel and see the beautiful scenery, including monkeys and many other animals that come down to feed on the fruit trees along the park road. It is located in Kep town, easy for tourists to take the time to visit.
