Kampong Chhnang Province : Kampong Preah Temple
This temple is located in Kampong Preah village, Chhnok Tru commune, Paribo district, Kampong Chhnang province. Tourists can travel through Kampong Chhnang city via National Road No. 5 and a paved road, which is about 44 km away. During the rainy season, the 4 km stretch of road is not accessible to the temple hill, except by boat or canoe. A hill in the vicinity of Wat Kampong Preah, which since ancient times has been called: Wat Tuol Preah Sree Pichey Sorvong Kampong Preah, there are two temples there: the female temple and the male temple. Near the well, tourists will see a linga made of stone with a carved pattern according to the type of linga. During the construction of this temple, it was probably between the 7th and 8th centuries, which our ancestors made to dedicate to the deity of the Hindu god. (This temple faces north.)
