Oddar Meanchey Province : Da Champei Waterfall

Da Champei Waterfall, or more commonly known as Ta Thong Cave Waterfall, is located in O Smach Sangkat, Samrong City, Oddar Meanchey Province, and is about 70 kilometers from Anlong Veng Roundabout. Although this resort near the O Smach border does not have any outstanding scenery that can attract tourists, Da Champei Waterfall is full of recreational bathing spots scattered along the slopes of Ta Thong Cave in Rot Champei Village, O Smach Sangkat, Samrong City, Oddar Meanchey Province. More than 30 kilometers from Samrong City towards O Smach Sangkat, the signboard of the resort "Da Champei Waterfall" has been waiting to welcome tourists eagerly on the right side, about to reach the O Smach international border. Visitors can travel by car or motorbike up the mountain by passing the Ta Thong Cave Temple, the giant tortoise statue, and heading towards the secluded Tourist Police Station. Then walk to the right for about 300 meters. You will see a waterfall that cascades from the top of the mountain to the edge of the mountain (Ta Thong Cave). From Ms. V's stall selling cold food and drinks to the top of the mountain, the water flows down the rocky slopes in many places, waiting for visitors to flow. Here, the water is only about 1 meter high and flows through a circular rock cave. The lowest point, near the stall, is about 50 meters down the valley, surrounded by small and large plants that stand in dense shade. The highest waterfall, more than 5 meters high, highlights the most attractive scene. The valley of waterfalls, sheltered under the shade of tall trees, always attracts hundreds of monkeys who come to find seasonal fruits to eat, not stopping to scare visitors. Ms. V A vendor near the waterfall for more than 10 years said: "When the season is full of wild fruits, hundreds of monkeys will come here and roam the trees and the ground. I was very scared, and they are not afraid of people. If you leave anything, they will drag it away."
