Oddar Meanchey Province : Trapeang Temple, Temple
From the provincial capital of Oddar Meanchey, through Anlong Veng district, to Trapaing Prasat district, a total distance of 113 kilometers, is located in Trapaing Prasat village, Trapaing Prasat commune, Trapaing Prasat district, Oddar Meanchey province, which is 500 meters north of the roundabout of Trapaing Prasat district.
This temple faces east and has three towers. The temple has a rectangular plan made of bricks running in rows from north to south. There are two door frames on the west side of the central tower made of sandstone and three other doors are slanted doors made of bricks. These towers are built on a single foundation made of sandstone, including a rectangular wall made of sandstone.
In addition, the temple is surrounded by ancient traces (water ditches). There is an ancient trapaing in front of the axis of the temple from east to west, 200 meters away, and this trapaing dries up in the dry season.
This temple was built before the Angkor period and is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
