Battambang Province : Agro-tourism in Samlot district

The Battambang Provincial Department of Tourism is promoting tourism in Samlot district to become a new major tourist destination that can attract tourists in all seasons. Mr. Uch Umphinisara said that Samlot district has rich tourism potential, especially agro-tourism and eco-tourism, which are other important tourist attractions in Battambang province. Samlot district is rich in natural resources and farms, so we want to promote the transformation of people's farms into agro-tourism areas. Samlot district also has natural potential such as mountains and lakes. Especially our tourists like to play in the water. In Samlot district, which is an area with clean water sources, the Battambang Provincial Department of Tourism has not created many processed resorts in Samlot district like other districts. Overall, we do not want to process the natural areas there much. We focus on agro-tourism and eco-tourism areas because we already have processed resorts in other areas, such as riding a lorry in Banon district. The Battambang Provincial Tourism Department is encouraging every district to have a good resort and a model pagoda. Please also note that Samlot district has important tourist areas such as the Thma Da Waterfall Resort, the Durian Farm Resort, the Stung Kranhong Resort, the Ochoam Eco-Tourism Community, and many other agro-tourism areas.
