Oknha Chhay Sivlin Participated in 2nd Tripartite Mechanism Meeting.

The 2nd Tripartite Mechanism Meeting between the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Cambodia, leading Chinese travel companies, and Cambodia’s private sector was successfully convened to jointly promote the growth of Chinese tourist arrivals and strengthen air connectivity between the two countries. The meeting was chaired by H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, with the participation of H.E. Wang Wenbin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Cambodia, senior representatives from the Departments of Culture and Tourism of Jiangsu and Yunnan Provinces, executives from major Chinese travel companies and airlines, as well as key stakeholders from Cambodia’s tourism public and private sectors.

Discussions focused on expanding direct flight connections to major Cambodian destinations such as Siem Reap and Preah Sihanouk, enhancing tourism promotion, encouraging Chinese investment in Cambodia’s tourism sector, and strengthening the implementation of existing cooperation frameworks. The meeting also highlighted practical action plans, including organizing familiarization trips (Famtrips), promoting film tourism, and developing joint tourism events to increase visibility and travel convenience. All parties reaffirmed their commitment to active and concrete cooperation to further elevate Cambodia–China tourism engagement.
