On 10 February 2026, Oknha Sivlin Chhay, President of the Cambodia Tourism Association, held a meeting with the founder of a marine resource conservation organization to discuss cooperation and the implementation of community-based training projects.

During the discussion, she emphasized the importance of leveraging existing natural resources through sustainable management while strengthening community capacity. The meeting also explored the organization of hospitality service training programs to enhance service quality and improve visitor experience.

In addition, both sides considered selecting one community as a pilot project to serve as a model for future expansion to other communities.
