Workshop on Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) & Promotion Program attended by Oknha Sreat M. Sophear, Vice President of CATA
As the Vice President and Representative of Cambodia Tourism Association (CATA), Oknha Sreat M. Sophear attended the Workshop on Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and the Promotion Program for the Registration and Accreditation of Competency Assessment Centers for Tourism Professionals in the Hospitality Sector.
The workshop was held on Thursday morning, 04 December 2025, at the Cambodiana Hotel, Phnom Penh. The program focused on sharing and reviewing procedures for recognizing prior learning and professional experience of tourism professionals to enhance skills and competencies in the hospitality sector.
Participants received detailed guidance on RPL implementation and how centers and institutions can register and assess professional competencies, including service skills, language proficiency, and hotel management expertise. The workshop also provided a platform for discussion, experience-sharing, and building new collaborations in the tourism and hospitality sector, marking an important step toward developing a skilled and competitive tourism workforce for the future.
