CATA Participates in Working Meeting to Strengthen Tourism Cooperation between Cambodia and Nagoya, Japan

Nagoya City, September 24, 2025 – During a working visit to attend the Japan Tourism Expo 2025 and the Tourism Ministerial Roundtable Meeting, Oknha Sivlin Chhay, President of CATA, together with a senior delegation from the Ministry of Tourism and the private sector, met with Hirosawa Ichiro, Mayor of Nagoya City, to discuss establishing tourism cooperation between Cambodia and Nagoya. This important and fruitful meeting emphasized shared tourism potential, including world heritage sites, and highlighted the longstanding diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Japan. Both sides agreed this cooperation will help promote both destinations and ensure steady tourism growth year after year.

CATA Famtrip to Sihanoukville, Koh Rong, and Riem Led by Oknha Chhay Sivlin

From 23–25 May 2025, Oknha Chhay Sivlin led the CATA famtrip to Sihanoukville, Koh Rong, and Riem. The trip was hosted by Apsara Resort and Riem Boutique and facilitated with support from the Governor of Sihanoukville.

On June 20, 2025, the Cambodia Tourism Association, led by Her Excellency Chhay Sivlin, held a meeting with His Excellency DATO’ SRI TIONG KING SING, Minister of Tourism, Arts, and culture of Malaysia (MOTAC)., to discuss tourism cooperation and explore additional elements to enhance the quality of tourism services and products.

The “Investment Opportunities in Hotel and Tourism” panel discussion, organised by CATA

The panel discussion on hotel and tourism investment opportunities featured high participation from H.E. Kha Leng, Secretary of State of MOC; H.E. Heng Sokkong, Secretary of State of MISTI; Mr. Ping Panhapol, Advisory to CDC; and Oknha Dr. Hor Serei Vath, IID President and moderator, along with two hotel investment experts from China.

Cambodian Tourism Association Participates in Strategic Meeting to Promote Tourism for Student During the Green Season Year 2025

Oknha Sreat M. Sophear, Vice President and representative of the Cambodian Tourism Association (CATA), participated in a meeting led by His Excellency Hout Hak, Minister of Tourism, focusing on promoting student tourism during the Green Season. The initiative aims to boost domestic tourism, raise awareness about potential tourist destinations, natural resources, and cultural heritage, and support the development of community-based economies.
