The initiative aims to boost domestic tourism, raise awareness about potential tourist destinations, natural resources, and cultural heritage, and support the development of community-based economies. On 27th September 2025, the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism and Cambodia Tourism Association (CATA) participated in the World Tourism Day 2025 opening ceremony in Malacca, Malaysia, held under the theme “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation.”
