Discuss with the Ministry of Tourism on the organization of the general assembly 2026

Phnom Penh, 26 February 2026

H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, granted a courtesy call to Mr. Mark Howarth Archer, representative of G Adventures, accompanied by the Cambodia Association of Travel Agents (CATA), to discuss the organization of the company’s annual conference, the Global Tour Operators Summit (GX Summit 2026), at the Ministry of Tourism headquarters. During the meeting, G Adventures respectfully requested the Ministry’s support and coordination in organizing the high-level international event and global tour operators gathering (GX Summit 2026) in Cambodia. The request includes providing a venue for a local product exhibition at Wat Phnom and arranging temple site visits in Siem Reap Province.

In response, H.E. the Minister expressed appreciation for the company’s decision to select Cambodia as the host country for this major international event and affirmed the Ministry’s support and agreement in principle to facilitate the proposal. The Minister further emphasized that Cambodia is a safe and high-potential destination for travel, investment, and international events, expressing confidence that hosting GX Summit 2026 will contribute to strengthening the tourism sector and enhancing Cambodia’s visibility in the global market.
