A representative of the CATA participated in a technical consultation workshop.
On October 24, 2025, Oknha Sreat Mom Sophear, Vice President and Representative of the Cambodia Tourism Association (CATA), participated in the Technical Consultation Workshop on “Assessment Report on Ecotourism Potential and Roadmap for Ecotourism Development in Cambodia’s Coastal Zone – Koh Kong Province.” The workshop, held at Sun and Moon Riverside Hotel in Phnom Penh, was presided over by H.E. Nhi Phally, Secretary of State, Ministry of Tourism, and Member of the National Committee. The event aimed to discuss strategies for sustainable ecotourism development, enhancing the natural and environmental potential of Koh Kong’s coastal areas, and transforming it into a model destination for sustainable tourism.
During the workshop, Oknha Sreat Mom Sophear reaffirmed CATA’s commitment to collaborate with government agencies, development partners, civil society, and the private sector to promote safe, sustainable, and community-focused ecotourism that supports local livelihoods. The session ran from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM and included active participation from representatives across government, development partners, civil society organizations, and private sector stakeholders.
